Opinel - 6VRN Carbon Steel Knife

Opinel knives were created in 1890.

beech handled, carbon bladed range is the original range with the addition of the Virobloc feature.

Virobloc is a safety feature, a locking ring which locks the blade in or out as required.

It is great for preventing blades closing upon vulnerable fingers.

For this reason (plus the fact its carbon blade is easily honed) it is favoured by Boy Scouts.

Opinel knives have high-grade, carbon steel blades which are easy to sharpen when dull.

They are simple, sturdy and cheap, the ideal multi-purpose tools.

This version has a 7cm blade.
