British Army Indestructable socks.

I'm ex-military and wanted some decent socks for my outdoor lifestyle. The socks are well made and seem to be fit for purpose, The only disappointing bit is the fit. I took 6-11 to mean that they will fit any size in the range of 6 to 11. In reality they are very wide and extremely long from toe to heel on my size 9 feet. I am still using them but hopeful that my wife will shrink them in the wash along with everything else that I put in the laundry basket.

I don't know about indestructible but they're almost identical to a pair I got nearly 30 years ago, and that pair is still good, I'll drop back in a decade with an update

Good socks

Not quite as tall as I’d thought. Like all woollen socks they shrink slightly after washing and get a little matted but really warm and tough

Great wellie socks

I am a keen dog walker and live in my wellies. These socks are great, not too bulky but have cushioning to help protect heals and toes.

Admittedly they do keep my feet warm but no more than the other woolley socks I've bought. I suppose it's down to me to keep moving and keeping warm. I bought them because I'm a type 1 diabetic, have a dog that needs walking regularly and I tend to freeze during the colder months. I will say that I find these socks very comfortable when worn in welly boots so that is a major plus. It's probably because of the diabetes that makes me feel the socks are indifferent to others but someone else may find them more effective. I did think they were a little pricey but hopefully they'll last a while. I bought two pairs, maybe I'll try both when it gets really cold, hoping the warm air will get trapped in between and keep my tootsies hotter. I appreciate that it's best not to have your feet burning hot but even now, and it's only autumn I'm struggling a bit and always chilly. Maybe it's time for the long John's and thermals to come out of hiding.
