Meindl Cobra GTX Boot

£234.99

The Meindl Black Cobra is a newly developed tactical boot with sporty looks, which is suitable for almost any terrain.

The flexible outer material and a bending zone above the heel maintain the natural flexibility, without compromising the stability of the foot.

A Gore membrane ensures maximum breathability and makes the shoe waterproof.

Side upholstery and leather reinforcements increase wearing comfort and stability.

The oil and petrol resistant Contagrip sole provides, due to its tread design, excellent slip resistance in extreme terrain.

Stone Shield technology in the midsole protects the bottom of the foot. Unique boot that retains agility and flexibility associated with the shoe while providing good support and sure grip.

This hybrid is extremely lightweight and very comfortable, without the need to wear them in.

Higher around the ankle which helps to keep the weather out and provides solid support on uneven ground.

Very good torsional rigidity.

Fully waterproof, lined with Gore-Tex membrane.
Intelligent lacing

Sprint Quick

Peak shock protection

Material: waterproof leather, Gore membrane

Weight: about 1000 g / pair, Gr. 42

Waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex® lining.

Recommended Conditioning Product: Meindl SportWax and Meindl Wet Proof.

Because Meindl Wax is a petroleum based product frequent and heavy use will weaken the leather.

Meindl recommends alternating its use with the Wet Proof, modern silicon based water repellent agent.

These boots are not always a stock item and will take 2-3 weeks to arrive

6 month review

I have used these boots in an urban policing environment near enough every day for 6 months. The boots are comfy, waterproof and are lightweight enough for running whilst offering plenty of support, no sore feet after standing/walking/running for a full shift. With occasional polish they are holding up very well so far

Very disappointed

Most comfortable boot I have ever worn BUT.... After first patrol they leaked, sucking up water through the sole if the boot. After 2 months the leather split on the stitching at the front (big hole). The soles rubber disintegrated very quickly. It's a shame because they are really comfortable out of the box. For a boot made and designed by Meindl and the cost of the boot I really wasn't happy. I have purchased another pair to see if it was just a bad pair. I really don't understand in this day and age why we haven't got the perfect boot yet?!
