These being waterproof as well, were half expected to be bulky, not so, they are very well insulated, soft leather, and I assume something like a goretex liner
They were not considered cheap, but when you consider the top quality materials, and quality of construction, they really are. Good buy.

I was leery of ordering such an expensive compass and it getting to me fully functional. The handling and care was definitely a concern. Becketts made sure the shipping and handling would be done by hand and carefully. Tough,buttons never came of,zippers don't give out like all other outdoor gear,army gear is the fashion world un known,alterberg defender boots grade 1 only 65 pounds,my feet will be dry for years,would love a new pair for £300 though,dream on,
