My grandson loved this - he saw one in the Army Museum in London
These being waterproof as well, were half expected to be bulky, not so, they are very well insulated, soft leather, and I assume something like a goretex liner
They were not considered cheap, but when you consider the top quality materials, and quality of construction, they really are. Good buy.
