Boots

Bought these online and within a couple of days they started to fall apart. Took them to my local cobbler who said the soles had perished, couldn't be repaired. I contacted Becketts, and without any quibbling or argument, sent me out a replacement pair. They said it was likely the boots had been on a shelf too long, and the deterioration couldn't be seen with the naked eye. So full marks for sorting this out, Boots themselves very comfortable, but customer service excellent

Great Boots!

I bought a pair of the Meindl Desert Fox in April 2023 before a trip to a hot region in Africa. I have not been disappointed. They are certainly cooler than my black leather waterproof Meindls, and provide excellent ankle support, which I need due to historical torn ligament problems. The Desert Fox boots are light and extremely comfortable. Once these are worn out I will certainly buy them again.

They were the best

Due to the sole disintegrating due to PU hydrolysis I am not sure I can trust these boots anymore. I am on my 6th/7th pair but the last three have had problems as they cannot be stored apparently without causing the sole to peel off.
I brought a new pair 2 years old to Africa and within three weeks the sole is starting to come off.
It would be nice to know if the new ones have this problem.
